Exhibition Whitmore

Photography is a very common form of artistic expression and today, because of the use of our mediums, has become very useful. Photography is used for advertisements, artistic reasons, propaganda and much more. Though when constructing a photograph there are main design elements that need to be considered. For example lighting, position, colours, rule of thirds and more. The photographs that i have taken are all themed around Australian coastal landscapes and wild life.
There were two locations that I shot the pictures at, they are Bawley Point and Port Maquire. These were both two places that i managed to photograph during my holiday travels. During these travels i took numerous photos only a few I thought were appropriate for this exhibition.
This selection of photographs didn't turn out to be too large which in a way was exactly what I needed. Since I chose to use blogger there was limited ways that I could display my exhibition due to the layout of the template and my lack of knowledge in writing HTML code. So therefore i just decided to embed my photographs with an embed code that immediately links to my Flickr page which is easier for viewing my images. My Photos are under a creative commons licence so that they can be re-used for noncommercial purposes for those who fell they want to.
My exhibition also includes pictures that have been taken of Australian landscapes by other photographers, these photographers grouped all their photographs also in Flickr under a creative commons licence. I felt that it was necessary to contrast my photography skills with those who may take it more seriously. I have also added to my bloglist a series of blogs, predominantly found on Word Press, that belong to professional landscape photographers. Their latest post and actual blog sites are directly linked to mine so that people can enjoy the professional touch. There is also a couple of Links to websites which are also orientated around photography, the photographers that own these websites part of the 'Fuji ACMP Australian Photographers Collection series 8'. This was a current exhibition held at the National Gallery of Australia some of the photographs are quiet inspirational.
The last touch to the exhibition involves visitor interaction, this involves if the viewer chooses too, answering a few multiple choice questions about their relationship with photography.
well that's it may you enjoy what I have created.
Please note that because of the number of my posts the page got to big if i didn't shorten the amount of posts seen on the front page, the other posts can be found by clicking the older posts link at the bottom of the page.

This is my favourite place in the world, it is a point just down from the light house near South West Rocks. That is all i have to say for this picture take from it what you want
seagulls

Seagulls 'the bird of the beach' they are apart of our coastal culture, this picture captures the movement of the bird in mid flight. It has been edited and changed from that of the original picture.
Pathways

Footprints in the sand are a symbol of the many paths that we choose to take in our lives. The shot was taken at the light house near South West Rocks, the beaches that way are some of the nicest i have seen.
